heading up north
As we prepare to embark on our annual outreach trip to Zambia in just a few days, we’re filled with excitement and anticipation. Our first week will be spent supporting our dear American missionary friend as we minister to children, the elderly, and the disabled, and host several health clinics. The second week will be in partnership with Word of Life Ministries, where we’ll be involved in evangelism, discipleship, and showing Christian movies in the bush with Zambians. We’ve loved these ministry partners for many years and are really looking forward to what God will do while we are together.
Thank you for your prayers for us for safety as we travel, for God to move in hearts for salvations and growth, and for times of deep refreshment and encouragement for the friends we will meet up with.
Ministry Opportunities
We’re eager to make a meaningful impact during our time in Zambia, and we invite you to join us in prayer and support. Here are a few specific ways you can contribute:
* CHILDREN’S MINISTRY: We’d love to take balloons, stickers, glow sticks, soccer balls, and other small tokens to show the children they’re seen and loved. Any donation is helpful! (Approximately $50 needed)
* MINISTRY to the ELDERLY: We’ll visit an elder care home and distribute small gifts like fruit, wash cloths, soap, lotions, and sweets. ($40 needed)
* FUEL: With gas prices at approximately $7 per gallon, we’d appreciate any contribution to help cover fuel costs for us and our ministry partners. (Approximately $500 needed)
* WIDOWS MINISTRY: Our partner employs a group of widows in a sewing ministry, and they need a donation to buy additional fabric. Cash donations are welcome! (Any amount helps)
* TEA MINISTRY: We’d like to give boxes of tea to the disabled people we’ll be ministering to. If you’d like to sponsor this, please let us know! (Approximately $30 needed)

Thank you for your prayers and support as we embark on this ministry trip. We’re grateful for your partnership and look forward to sharing updates with you upon our return.
We hosted a beautiful wedding in our garden last Saturday and it was an incredible time of blessing and encouraging the new couple. Daniel and Barbara have been coming to our home 1-2 days a week for the past year and it is such a joy to see them grow in the Lord and to take this next step together. I asked you to pray for the weather and God answered! It was horrible weather every day last week EXCEPT for Saturday and even during the ceremony, the wind died down. They had around 65 guests attend and the garden wedding was stunning! Dan did a great job officiating the wedding and even drove the couple to the reception in our classic 1963 Chevy Nova that he just finished restoring! It was a beautiful day in every way. Daniel told us that he had a dream about his wedding day in 2019 and it absolutely came true – he was surrounded by people of many races/cultures and his biological and Christian family was present. God is so kind!
This coming weekend our Bethlehem church is hosting a dramatic production called Heavens Gates Hells Flames. It will give a clear gospel message and everyone who comes will understand their eternal choices. Historically, the play has resulted in many salvations and we hope and pray the same for our town. Please join us in praying for many people to attend with soft hearts and for many to be saved.
The ministry at Bambelela continues to grow and flourish and we are blessed to partner with and support our missionary friends the Godoys as they lead here. Dan continues to help several days a week in various ministries and recently was invited to join their board. What an honor!
